Development is slowly picking back up. Thanks to Badja and Winter for contributing some areas!

Working on putting in quests now.. and got a new system to help it all work smoothly. Clerics in the Sacred Sanctorum are almost finished. Fixed some spawn problems, and too much else to mention... ;) Also put in the player cutscene scrying in the afterlife, thanks to Barry's help at Realms of Annakolia. Thanks!

Had a few DM'd sessions, and that has got me inspired to finish this muther! In many cases, the last thing to go in is the spawns, so if many of the places farther out from Freeport seem barren, rest assured they are coming...

I'm out of the molasses I seemed to have been stuck in and everything is coming together. It's time to play dammit!

Yay, Forum is up...

Taking shape... got a working linux server and am gearing up for beta, once I get the quests sorted out and in decent shape. It is hard to find that point where it is good enough, I want it to be perfect... Forum coming soon...

After a month of just playing, I'm back to buidling. Just added the Persistent Map Pins - the lack of them on other PWs has been my number one annoyance. Just switched to NESS for the spawning, and I wish I had started with this from the beginning. What an amazing system! If I can keep up my current momentum, I honestly think that there will be a beta-testing / introductory adventure coming in a month or so.

Been reviewing the CCP (Community Creature Project) and it is a great collection. Gearing up to get back into development as soon as school winds down. Fixed a bunch of typos...

Taking a little break, it seems. Percolating ideas on how I can make it the best server I can. Persistent maps and map pins, maybe some kind of digest for players. Lately I switched into player mode for a while. Have had some good times on the Abyss404 and most recently Annakolia. I'm inspired to make a new page that sort of encapsulates all my nwn experiences with the communty, Diary of an NWN Fiend .

The scope of this project is beyond anything I have attempted before, but I am so far into it I cannot turn back now. I am learning much and I have caught some of my early mistakes (better now than after I go live I guess). I want Gnostica to be really special, and I fear if I try and rush it, this will not be the case. It will take some more time before I am really ready to even run a campaign. My guess is early Spring, honestly. In the meantime, I will continue to post updates here.

I'm considering installing eFiction on the Web server, instead of emphasising Bulletin Board Forums as most PWs do. With eFiction players submit stories and can vote on them. I would still have a a Forum thread for technical banter and off-topic stuff, but the eFiction would be for all in character works. See the eFiction demo here.

I want to thank the CRAP team for a continued source of inspiration and help on building. And I'd like to thank the players and DMs of Abyss404 for all the fun I have playing there, keeping me inspired in NWN in general.

Lots of new areas built, some play-testing, too. It's not quite ready, but getting closer.

Nothing major added, just fixing bugs.

I play-tested Gnostica, and was surprised that I could see and do everything I have managed to put into the game in about 1 hour! I was a bit dismayed, considering how long it has taken to make. Hopefully things will go quicker now that I have several systems in place.

I managed to get WaveLand in for testing, and things seemed to work with the laptop I'm using for the server.

New Web site look - I like this one better, and it is a screenshot of a new area, The Temple of Reckoning. Updated Personal Reputation System with Imperial and Revolutionary Faction Rumors. Added Plywood Chicken's Persistent Player Traits - thanks for the help with this C.R.A.P. Team!

Not so sure about UOAbigal for crafting, I'm now leaning towards Ambrosia Tradeskill System, because I like how it plays with the Ambrosia Persistent Tokens. Hidden Tradition crafting system is a nice crafting-lite, using the Bioware craft skills. I like that one, too.

Things are coming along quite nicely, if a bit slowly. I can sit down with the toolset and eat 12 hours, hardly noticing. This obsession is refreshing, it reminds me of the nights longago spent writing insanely nonstop, totally losing myself in the never-ending moment of creation.. Let's hope I produce something more tangible than that this time!

CEP 2.0 (oh, my wait to you see these new monster models!) is installed with C.R.A.P, which is fabulous to build with. C.R.A.P. will really make the areas come alive, with layers and layers of secret information that you may discover. I got Bitwise Persistent Quests up and running, although I find it a lot more cumbersome to work with. I'm liking it. I'm looking at custom experience scripts now, trying to find a good fit in somethign pre-built that I can modify and tinker with. I'm very intrigued about LRES - Lightweight Roleplaying Experience System Beta 9. It assigns dialog points for roleplaying, at varying intervals. After x many dialog points are accumulated, you get experience points. All the variables are configurable, and you can even modify things on the fly with the DM client. It's really cool. I'm thinking of not running it module-wide, but placing it in Taverns, Inns, Temples - places where people congregate and roleplay, generally.
